Our tiles are designed to have an effective lifespan of 7 years.
This is possible for a number of reasons, including our use of durable solid-state components, a lack of consumables and our strong frame.

No pixels mean no failures
We don’t use electronic or mechanical pixels in our displays. TD1 images are created by a sophisticated combination of mirrors and lasers which excite a phosophor-layer display panel. The Laser Processor controls the intensity of the lasers, defining each pixel. With no physical pixels, like what you’d find in a LCD or LED-based display, TD1s do not suffer from dead-pixels. Which means our display’s effective lifespan is significantly longer than the competition’s.

No Consumables. No waste.
TD1 tiles are designed with no expensive or toxic consumables. The Laser Engine and Phosphor Display will last the life of the display, and our modular design makes repairs a snap.

No burn-in
Since the phosphor pixels are passive system components, they do not experience mechanical or electrical failure so the pixels remain operative for the system's lifetime and never experience frozen or burned-in images.
